Please use the following questions and answers to answer your questions about receiving food from the Grove City Food Pantry.
What are the requirements to be ELIGIBLE for food service?

What Do I Need to bring on my first visit?
On your first visit to the Grove City Food Pantry, you must bring a form of identification for each member of your household. For adults, this can be a Driver's License, a State Identification Card, or a Social Security Card. For Children, this can be a Social Security Card, School Identification Card or a birth certificate. You will also need to bring a utility bill (ex. Gas, Electricity, etc;).

Do I need to bring my own bags?
No, you do not need to bring your own bags.
Is there a limit to how many visits a month/year i can make to the pantry?
You are limited to ONE visit per calendar month per family. This works out to 12 visits a year. You receive about a weeks worth of food pertaining to your household size.
What are the hours for the pantry?
The Grove City Food Pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to posted closing time.
Do i need an appointment?
Yes, you need an appointment through LSS 211 Central Ohio by dialing 211. The lines are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. We are not a walk in pantry.
Food allergies/restrictions
If you have food allergies/restrictions then it is up to YOU to make sure the food adheres to your specific food diet. Please notify our volunteers of any food restrictions. The Grove City Food Pantry + Emergency Services is not responsible for you receiving food that does not adhere to your diet.
What type of foods do you hand out?
We hand out about 3 days worth of food according to the size of the family. We give out canned foods, such as fruits, soups, and vegetables. Boxed and bagged foods of all kinds, such as mashed potatoes, mac&cheese, rice, beans, etc. We also have a selection of snacks and condiments, healthcare products, and home care products, such as toilet paper, cleaning solutions, etc. We also offer meat, fresh produce, and bagged fruit, potatoes, and onions. We can also supply dog and cat food, however, this is very limited and not a full size bag that you would buy at a store. If a baby is listed on your chart, we can supply diapers, wipes, and baby food.
